How are you brave?
When I was younger, I was pretty much fearless. Even today, there are few things that I will shy away from...within reason, of course.
I like to think of bravery as the ability to do something that has been discouraged. Often times we tend to project our fears off on others. This can create a false sense of doubt which has the propensity to stifle someone's growth if they don't have the intestinal or mental fortitude to believe that they can.
A guilty pleasure of mine is proving people wrong. I've been told that I have always gone against the grain, exceeding people's expectations of me because I have always believed in myself and my own ability to do great things, regardless of what others thought about what I was doing.
So, how am I brave? That's easy. I rarely use the word can't and I always try...even if it seems impossible. But don't get me wrong, there are times where I can't see the outcome and I tread lightly. But I never allow it to hinder me from actually putting forth the effort to achieve the goals I set in my mind.
Are you brave? What make you brave?
