SORRY I'M LATE GUYS!

Hey y’all! So this month’s post is formatted a little different.

What I read?

The Female Hustler series. It’s 7 books long and full of drama. Some moments had me like 😳 and other moments I was like 🙄. All in all, I enjoyed the series. The only issue I really had was how many characters there were. 😂 It was a lot of moving parts but was well written for the most part. I did start feeling overwhelmed around book 4 or 5, but I made it to book 7.

Characters I despised?

Taren’s delusional fake ass. I really hated her and it takes a lot for me to hate a character. I really wanted Angel to kill her ass in book 2 but Angel was too trusting to see how conniving her “best friend” really was. I’m glad she took care of it eventually though. And then Taren’s money hungry conniving cousin Shayla 🙄 goodness. Those two were the bane of my existence while reading. But everyone has to have an antagonist right?

Aaliyah and Justina got on my LAST NERVE! You hear me? They were so petty and nasty towards each other. They both went too far but everything was done in reaction to Aaliyah sleeping with Amir. Granted, Justina should’ve handled that when it happened instead of letting it fester, but she was wrong for the hand she played in everything that happened after she was given her ultimatum By Desmond.

When I think about it, I really only liked Angel and Darien 🤷🏾‍♀️. I actually

loved their relationship. What I didn’ like was how naïve Angel was and how dismissive Darien was at times, especially when it came to Angel’s business and fears but I loved how supportive he was of her being in her bag.

I hated how naive/sheltered Dominique was. But I hated more how Desmond made her dependent upon him, just to leave her high and dry (because of Justina’s insecure ass 🙄) ...and how Juan was using her 🤦🏾‍♀️. Dominique was trifling for the basement foolishness. She proved to be as conniving as everyone else.

I honestly felt like all the characters were people I wouldn’t associate with in real life cause they were all so clueless to the threats around them.

Favorite Part(s)?

When Taren finally got killed. Cynical I know. But she was looney fr. She didn’t know how to not be on top. It wasn’t Angel’s fault that he parents weren’t smart enough to teach her how to live without them. And her daddy stupid self should’ve played smart if he was gonna steal from his connect.

The only question that I need answered in all of this…WHO KILLED DALE????
