Yeah...I'm behind. But in my defense, I've been writing. So, here's a "catch-up" blog on the days that I've missed.
Day 19: What color describes your personality and why?

It's no surprise that the colors I love the most are the same colors to describe my personality. This is the power of positivity chart that I found on google. My absolute favorite color is red. I have been told that I exude a level of confidence that even when I'm unsure of something, it comes off as if I had been doing it for a while. I am passionate about the things I care about and I'm also ambitious when it comes to things that I want to do. I can definitely agree that I am strong-willed and determined.
Purple and Blue are my next favorite options where colors are concerned. Every word on that is listed under those colors can be used to describe me. I have been told that I am loyal to a fault, always choosing to see the good in people and constantly giving chances. I am a true empath, not that new wave that everyone is on. I actually feel when people are going through things, and it tends to weigh me down. I am super supportive of those around me because I love to see them win. And everything I do is with a sincere heart...because let's face it, if I don't want to do it, it's not getting done.
Day 20: What irritates you about the home you live in?
The only thing that irritates me about the house I currently live in, is the price of the electric bill. Now if you were asking me about the house I just moved out of, I have a laundry list of complaints and irritations.
We had been in the house for almost 20 years (since around my sophomore or junior year in high school). A small part of the irritation came from the fact that we didn't own the home. Another irritant was that the home was a three bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom. It was entirely too small for 4 adults to live comfortably. Whomever said that you didn't know how much stuff you had until it was time to pack it up, was on to something. Both my sister and I had gone to college and moved back home, so not only did we have our things and furniture from growing up, but couple that with the things we accumulated from four years of going to school, and you have no space to do anything but breathe.
The house was so old that the cabinets in the kitchen began falling apart, the plumbing needed major work, and the carpet just needed to go. The day we closed on our new home was one of the joyous days of our lives. We now have a very spacious four-bedroom, four-bathroom home with more than enough space in each room so that we aren't on top of each other, or ourselves. You will NOT get a complaint out of me!
Day 21: Who is your favorite author and why?
Whew, they want me to choose. I DO NOT have just ONE favorite author. It's virtually impossible to make a decision like that. So, I'm just going to list the authors. The why is the same across the board: I love their writing styles, I have fallen in love with their characters, and they write some real nasty stuff (because we love raunch).
Here are my favorites (in no particular order)
Monica Walters
Kema B.
Tay Mo'nae
Rilzy Adams
Kia Barlow
Cherish Amore
Aubree Pynn/Cassandra B
J. Chary
Bella Jay
Mel Dau
M. Monique
Angie Daniels
Nicole Falls
J. Nichole
Tatum James
Dandridge Monroe
Skye Moon
And of course, me, but I'm biased.
Day 22: What was your dream job as a child?
I had the typical dreams of being a doctor or a teacher. That changed the further along I got in my schooling and I never knew what I wanted to do specifically, I just knew I wanted to help people. Nursing or anything medical related that required me to go to school for an extended period of time was out of the question. I wasn't the biggest fan of science, even though I did pretty well in them once I started to understand what was going on in them.
I quickly learned that teenage and early 20's me was not built for education, so teaching was out of the question. There was nothing I disliked more than being tied to something I didn't have the heart or passion to do. I went to school, getting my bachelors in resort and hospitality management, thinking that I would work for one of the hotel chains. That didn't last long either, as I soon decided that I wasn't cut out for the demand that came along with working the front desk, or any other aspect of the hotel for that matter.
I had a concentration in spa management, which I am using to my full ability. I am the owner and operator of my own business that provides massage and esthetic services. I love what I do, and I wouldn't change my career for anything in the world. I love the freedom that is afforded to me through my business, and I get to do what I ultimately wanted to do, which is help people.
Day 23: What's a lie you tell yourself?
While I try not to lie to myself, a lie that I do tell myself is that everything is fine. Life really be kicking my behind and I let it! Things that are going to happen will happen, it's a matter of how you respond to what goes on.
Hey! Life be life-ing!
